Job description |
The successful applicant will be offered the job of Accounts Senior / Payroll Supervisor.
The role requires the handling of a number of Client assignments including a portfolio of payroll assignments where weekly and monthly payrolls are prepared for Clients. The applicant will be required to organise and manage assignments utilising the skills and assistance of more junior staff. A thorough knowledge of payroll preparation routines, together with a knowledge of the social welfare and income tax legislation pertaining to employment terms and conditions and salary preparation, is essential.
The applicant must be able to work on their own or with supervision and will be expected to be able to prepare monthly management accounts for the Clients allocated to their care. Ability to use Micropay, Excel and Sage Accounting Systems is a necessity and knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems will be a distinct advantage.
Suitable applicants will have attained membership of the Institute of Accounting Technicians and will have attained a wide experience within an accounts department over a 5-7 year timeframe dealing with payroll and accounts preparation.
Applicants who do not have this range of experience will unfortunately not be considered and therefore should not apply. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate their understanding and knowledge of the role and provide suitable references from previous employment. |
