The Global License Auditing Services (GLAS) Department is part of the SAP Global Service & Support Organization. The GLAS teams assist customers during the system measurement process, from the original request through to the evaluation. We also supply the necessary tools and provide additional support. With as shared service center (SSC) structure we have teams in various locations: Germany, Ireland, India and China.
Our Irish SSC in Galway is covering the license audit for the European and the Latin America customers - here we are looking for Interns/students to support our existing team. The role of an Intern in the GLAS team is a varied one which will involve data entry, interaction with technical (e.g. system administrators) and administrative (purchaser, controller, etc.) people from a customer point of view. From an SAP perspective you will work closely with both, our Sales teams and Contract department colleagues.
Our current vacancy involves dealing with our customers in Germany; therefore you are required to be fluent in both, German and English.
Appropriate training and guidance on the job will be provided for this position.
Tasks:
- You will communicate with customers on a daily basis and where possible, support them in performing the license audit process in their computer systems (giving advice on technical and contractual questions which customers may have)
- Follow up with customers to ensure licence audits are completed
- After the customer has submitted the results of the license audit, you will process the information perform an evaluation of the results and compare them to their licensed software product agreements
- Liaise with our Sales Department in relation to the findings of the licence audits so that they can take the necessary action required
- Daily tasks may include the following: data entry, reminder and follow up activities with both sales people and customers, evaluations of audit results and where possible technical support via telephone
Requirements:
- Fluency in German and English
- Good organizational and follow-up skills required
- Good communication skills essential
- Good technical background an advantage, but not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal and team working abilities
- Reasonable knowledge in Microsoft Office (mainly Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Reasonable knowledge in SAP R/3 an advantage but not mandatory
