Policy Officer ICMSA

ICMSA seeks a Policy Officer on a contract of
six months commencing on 6 September 2010. Knowledge of current agricultural policies and issues is essential.

The main duties of the Policy Officer are:

- To research and draft policy on
national and EU agriculture and related issues.

- To act as Executive Secretary to
national committees of the Association.

- To represent the Association at
local and national level.

The position demands a person with energy and
the ability to act on their own initiative and to react to a constantly
changing situation, as well as providing for the development and drafting of
policies for the medium and long-term.

The position will be based in Limerickbut will involve travel to meetings throughout the country. Salary for the position will be competitive.
