Financial Controller / Finance Manager 

This is a superb opportunity to join a well established high end property in the Cavan/Monaghan area.  
We are looking for a qualified accountant with previous significant experience in the Hotel or Hospitality sector. Candidates should have worked at Finance Manager level with the ability to manage an accounts team and communicate effectively with senior managers and other stakeholders.
  • Preparation of the yearly budget and monthly update of the forecasts
  • Monthly reporting for the Head office (Profit and Loss account and comparison with budget and forecasts
  • Preparation of the financial statement required by law
  • In charge for all legal and insurance matters in the company (contract with the suppliers, lessee, etc)
  • Cash Flow management
  • Enforces, documents and establishes adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets, and ensures controls will satisfy or improve the level of guest service
  • Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides analyzes, interpretations and projections to management as required
  • Provides proactive administrative support to management with reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance
  • Implements and maintains acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting practices, and those affected by local conditions
  • Analyse and assists Human Resources Manager in regards to employment contracts of new employees
  • Screens, interviews and selects potential staff members to the Department
  • Develops and recommends appropriate training to meet departmental needs
  • Encourages, develops and manages effective employee relations throughout the hotel
Personal Requirements
  • Financial background, ACCA or CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar role
  • Advanced language skills in English, written and spoken
  • Business orientation with excellent knowledge of Microsoft environment
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and loyal individual with leadership qualities and analytical
