Job profile

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for

Sales of:

Conveyors or individual pieces of automation equipment

Complete factory solutions.

Improvements to existing lines or systems

Reduction of production bottlenecks through specific automation solutions

Spares to existing customers

The person will need the ability to identify issues or problems customers have within their existing manufacturing plants and recommend solutions to alleviate or eradicate those problems.

They will need the ability to quickly create a relationship of trust with both prospects and customers. The most important communication skill being to listen. We do not have a sales agenda and a oust to sell certain equipment or brands. We only ever sell the best solution to meet a customer’s ultimate needs.


The person will be responsible for keeping up to date with new and emerging technologies that could enhance solution we typically provide.

The sales person will work with an applications engineer who will assist in putting together the overall concept to be presented to the customer and the applications engineer will conduct a detailed costing of the solution for the sales engineer and assist with the creation of the final quote.

The main geographical area will be the Island of Ireland with occasional sales into EU territories including the UK

Candidate profile

The position of Sales Engineer will report into the M.D. and requires someone with strong proven skills from either a materials handling background (Conveyor based systems) or a machinery automation background or a component sales background into the manufacturing Industry. They should also possess at least 5 years’ sales experience and an Engineering qualification. In addition, a formal sales qualification would be an advantage.

This position would suit someone who has worked or is working in the materials handling sector providing automation solutions.

It would also suit someone who has sold components into the relevant sectors. Example similar product sales would be:

  • Motors and Controllers
  • Pneumatic Components
    PLC’s and Electrical Control Components
  • Actuators and manipulators
